Position Consulting Actuary (FSA)
Healthcare Looking for an FSA with experience in health actuarial work. This is a management position. The position requires creative actuarial capabilities, good communication and interpersonal skills, and organizational talents. A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to lead a team of dedicated analysts and consultants are also necessary for success. We provide extensive on-the-job training in consulting skills and advanced actuarial techniques. Expertise and experience desired in Commercial, Medicaid and Medicare Advantage products. Functions include pricing, reserving, and data analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities Initial responsibilities for this position include: Managing project completion and budget Performing analysis Writing reports Supervising actuarial students Developing responsibilities will include managing client relationship and business development.
Experience Candidates should possess the following: Five or more years of relevant experience Health experience is required – Prefer experience in Commercial or Medicaid lines of business.
Requirements Candidates should possess the following qualifications: FSA Technical proficiency in all aspects of health care actuarial practice Strong communication skills including oral presentations and written reports Proficiency with spreadsheets and database applications Proven ability to manage projects Experience in prioritizing and completing multiple projects and tasks
